Mantis was founded in London in 2000 and from 2005 onwards expanded the range to include textiles made from organic cotton. Since 2019, most products have been produced sustainably and fairly. A large part of the polyester used consists of recycled raw materials. The high-quality baby and children’s textiles made from organic cotton are also popular. The Essentials collection also includes products such as hoodies and sweaters, which are available in the same form for adults, children and babies.
Mantis stands for trendy clothing that is made with ethical considerations in mind.
The company actively campaigns against child labor and for fair wages. A separate code of conduct was created for this purpose (http://www.mantisworld.com/about-us/code-of-conduct). The brand also adheres to the international SA8000 standard, which is based on ILO and United Nations conventions.
Ecological aspects are also important to Mantis. An increasing proportion of the items on offer are made from organic cotton. The entire production in African Tanzania is already GOTS certified. However, GOTS-certified products also come from the production facilities in Asia and Europe.
